Trance Batch #1
This batch is tiny for pretty obvious reasons. Still enjoyed these songs a lot.
-M
Why You Hurt Me (Club Mix) - D'Azoo At Night
Really pretty track, just sounds like one of his Prog tracks sped up.
Point Therapy (Original Mix) - Didrapest (Golden Banana)
Psytrance. YES! Really excellent vocal chopping in this one part.
Rose of Jericho (BT's Deus Ex Machina Album Mix) - BT
More prettiness, I guess that's what Trance is after all.
Silverback (Original Mix) - M6
Slow Trance, but I still feel like it fits the genre.

Minimal Batch #4
M
Backroom Honey (Original Mix) - Saeed Younan
By far one of the simplest, catchiest, and raviest samples ever. This has Rave written all over it.
Evil Live (Original Mix) - Piatto
Techno at it's best.
Kitch In (Original Mix) - Tim Green
This track got a ton of attention from big names, I don't really understand why from my headphones, I'm guessing it comes more alive on giant speakers.
Taipei Pocok Salata (Dub Mix) - Soliquid
BAAASSSSSSS
Metalworld (Son Of A Beat Remix) - Forza
So what, J already posted this before. That first drop is still absolutely killer.
Peanuts Club (Momma's Boy Remix) - Noob & Brodinski
Big kick on this Tech House track. Everyone should know/have the original.
2 Many Shots of Jaegermeister (Ahmet Sendil Remix) - Tocadisco
Bouncy Tech House track.
Death By House - Len Faki
Wouldn't be surprised to hear this being played by Dubfire on Thursday at Together As One. HELL YES!
Avicii Did A Bad Bad Thing (Original Mix) - Tim Berg
Not sure who Tim Berg is, guess he's friends with our favorite Avicii, but this track is pretty cool.
Oslo - Carl Johan Elger
Finish it up with a pretty Techno track.

That said, this one's a bit commercial, mostly due to the original, and not quite as awe-inspiring as his other tracks.

House Batch #5
Ok, so now I'm actually back. Christmas and a pretty nasty stomach flu got in the way for a bit there, but my head can actually take pounding four to the floor beats again without vomiting (unless of course it's one of those "OH MY GOD THAT DROP" vomits). Let's celebrate with a House batch:
-M
Love Can't Get U Wrong feat. Angie (Dim Chris Terrassa Mix) - Dim Chris (Golden Banana)
*Vomit* I'm bat shit obsessed with this track. One of the best progressive tracks ever made.
These Shoulders (Paul Wicked Remix) - Signalrunners Featuring Julie Thompson
I've definitely posted this sucker before, really hard hitting progressive track, though it's only prog in the buildups and in that sot of sinister way.
Chase The Mouse (Original Mix) - Joris Voorn
Really cool House track from Joris Voorn. LOOK OUT FOR HIM, HE WILL BE HUGE.
What U Think (Original Mix) - Dirtyloud
Great Electro House track, sounds a lot like Felguk which makes sense since Dirtyloud is also from Brazil. +10 Bastille Love and Admiration Points to whomever names another song in which this vocal sample is used.
Wavestate - DJ Agent 86
For the Disco House fans, this one's absolutely incredible. A lil bit of Electro in there for you as well.
Listen To The Voice Inside (Laurent Wolf Remix) - Yves Larock & Steve Edwards
Big big big room Electrogressive (it will catch on dammit!) track.
7 Days And One Week (Armin Prayd Remix) - B.B.E.
More standard style prog track, massive and beautiful. Could do extremely well at a rave.
Energy (Voltron Edit) - Devone
Mmm, classic House. Nobody could really get away with playing this though anymore.
Talking Back (Original Mix) - Werner Niedermeier
I guess you could call this Deep House, but it's on the weird rather than smooth side.
Why We Run (Original Mix) - Ben Preston Feat. Susie
Progilicious
Wip Electric (Hot City Remix) - The Funktuary
Strange House track, grabbed me for some reason.

King Midas Sound
King Midas Sound is the UK Collaboration between Dancehall/Dub DJ/Producer Kevin Martin (Aka The Bug) and Trinidadian Poet/English Lit. Prof. Roger Robinson. Together they craft the most dubbed out of dubstep songs on the scene, leaning more to the likes the Kode9 crew, having most of there releases through his label Hyperdub. Eerie echos swell as Robinson's ghostly voice flows out of the hazy beats. It so happens that they recently released their debut album, also on Hyperdub, Waiting for You, More on the listening side of dubstep and is stylistically similar to Kode9 & Space Ape's album Memories of The Future. I like seeing that dubstep still has albums coming out like this, shows the roots, and range of the genre when compared to the awesome electro banger styles of Rusko, mmmm dubstep. Got the album for you, along with some amazing remixes by Dabrye and Flying Lotus, Enjoy.

Behind Closed Doors
Finals done. Thank god. I'll get back to my usual posting habits now, starting by finishing up those batches. However, I wanted to put up this awesome album one of my buddies showed me in the beginning of the school year. Behind Closed Doors is an incredbile achievement. Kira Neris takes jazz samples to make awesome, loungey House/Breakbeat music, great stuff to kick back to. I guess they call it Nu-Jazz (fuck Nu anything), but some of this is just straight House which I'm sure you'll all appreciate. Oh, and the dude who made this is French, so...

Drum & Bass batch #3
Sorry for my long hiatus, again, but i'm back...again, M's post (props) has encouraged me to add some additional Drum & Bass tracks that ive been holding on to, Got alot from Logistics from Hospitality Records in this one, Check it Out>
-Jumpman
Subwave - I Need You GOLDEN BANANA
Brilliant track, Russian producer, probably being signed to Hospitality later within the year
A more minimal styled DnB track
Remix of a breakbeat tune, Absolutely killer drop
Logistics - Transporter GOLDEN BANANA
Off his 2009 album Crash, Bang, Wallop, as are the next couple tracks, instantly one of my favorites, really deep stuff, love the bass/drop, 'powerful yet understated' at the same time, Uplifting
^High Energy^
Awesome bass, oldschool sound
Awesome, albeit conceptually simple remix/edit, heard it on BBC's essential mix, just awesome

Drum & Bass Batch #1
I'm not going to pretend to know anything about Drum & Bass. However, Jumpman has found some dope tunes and I've found a few in random places. However, the big shout out has to go to Oneupmanship, the blog that has pretty much provided my entire (and tiny) Drum & Bass collection. Batch #2 will be comprised entirely of tracks gathered from that blog.
-M
From Memory (Matrix Remix) - Mistabishi (The Golden Banana)
Once again, I know pretty much nothing about this genre, but so far the name that has impressed me the most is Matrix. This song is so beautiful. I feel like this would be a great song to start a set with.
Dreadlock - Future Prophecies
On the heavier side of things... This one's got a great hook.
Fury (Kiro Remix) - Fourward
Pretty gnarly bass in this, I'm down.
Ghetto Blues (Original Mix) - Zyon Base
Super chilled out, relaxed track with really nice chords and a subby bass. Their are aspects of this song that remind me very much of Air.
Toothache (Barletta + Ernold Sane Remix) - The Charlatans UK
I don't know if this actually counts as DnB, but it's pretty much at the same tempo and I feel like it would fit in with a heavy set. Really awesome track though.
BONUS:
Hometown Beef Glory (Bastille Mashup) - Biggie Smalls vs. High Contrast
A mashup I made a while back with a DnB track, actually one of the first DnB tracks I ever got, still one of my favorites. I can't wait for like 10/20 years to pass when people look back and realize how dumb mashups were, saying like "I can't believe people just put songs together, what were they thinking?"

Dubstep Batch #2
All ye in search of wobbly grime, look no further! However, I've got a lot of rather pretty Dubstep tracks in this batch, hope it breaks up the monotony. Do people that like Reggae like Dubstep?
-M
Chainsaw Calligraphy (Original Mix) - 16bit
The most brutal, insane, and just outright offensive synth sound ever made.
Precious Time - Skyence
Really pretty track, it's got a kick so theoretically you could play this live, but it's definitely more of a listening track.
Wayfaring Stranger (Burial Mix) - Jamie Woon (Golden Banana)
So incredibly amazing. Probably my favorite Burial track, this one just really gets to me.
Station Six - Downlink
Sorry, back to the grime. This track's got another super fucked up bass sound, similar to the style of Excision or Datsik (check out my post on them HERE).
Watch Your Eyes - Ed Solo
WAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAHWAH!
Dublicker - Unknown Artist vs Aphex Twin
Weird intro, but this track is really really dope. Just wait for the INSANE drop at 2:23.
One More Time (George Lenton Remix) - Daft Punk
A Dubstep remix of Daft Punk? I know, sounds like a horrible idea. However, this remix is remarkably well done. I don't think he should have done the middle section like he does, but I'll forgive for the rest of the track.
Wobble Whomp - Techjio
Title says it all.
The City (Stella Polaris Allstars Dub Remix) - Tina Dickow
Really beautiful track, but the quality is pretty shitty (140).
Also, if you'd like to cop either of my Dubstep mixes, you can grab them HERE and HERE.

Minimal Batch #3
I like to interpret that picture as "Minimal! Toke, yo!"
-M
Zephyr - Fiord
Minimal Techno. It's the shit. This track is particularly the shitty?
Jenifer (Original Mix) - Igor Krsmanovic
Yay Techno! YAY.
Dark Flower (Joris Voorn Magnolia Mix) - Robert Babicz
Really pretty Tech House (bordering on Prog) Track. Joris Voorn was named by many many many big names on the Top 100 DJ list as their favorite producer of 2009, so be sure to keep any eye out for him.
Bad Seed (D-Nox & Beckers Remix) - Erphun Feat. Cari Golden
This has already been posted, but definitely requires another go. Techno is just the best.
Permalox - Marascia
It's hard to describe Minimal Techno tracks like I usually do in other batches. Basically, if you like to Rave, you will like all these songs.
Lummox (Original Mix) - Dave Spoon
Electro/Tech House. Super heavy bass.
Rush Hour (Ocelot Remix) - The Toxic Avener
Really heavy Tech House track, hits really hard.
Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) (Angger Dimas Remix) - Freemasons feat Sophie Ellis-Bextor (REMOVED)
Had to include this Dutch-esque track. Been really impressed with Angger Dimas, need to look more into him.
Cocoloco (Original Mix) - Sven Weber
Tech House track with a really cool sound. Basically exploits that sound for the whole song.
Dutchie (Inphinity's GT Remix) - Ralph Berr
Tech House on the more Housey side.

House Batch #4
It's finals for most of us. What better way to cheer yourself up than by blasting House music and singing along to those horribly awful lyrics sung by them House divas? Just leave the world behind you. Babe, I just hope that you know to never let me go, cuz when it comes to forever we should be together. Don't forget to check out the bonus track at the bottom, it's the best one of the bunch.
Also, gonna give a big shout out to The Temple Of House, great source for House music.
-M
Can't Get High Without U (David Penn Mix) - Joey Negro
This is House music at it's best. Get this song. It's not Prog, it's not Tech, it's not Disco, this is just fuckin House.
Time After Time (Chris Reece Progressive Dub) - Tiff Lacey, Alexander Popov, Feel
Beautiful Progressive track, one of my favorites at the moment.
Now That We Found Love (Main Mix) - Sunlovers
Organ House. Yes! Also note the title, I'm sure you can guess that these lyrics are brilliant as well.
The Bomb (Youth's Street Player 2 Turbo Edition Edit) - The Bucketheads
Great edit of a classic, probably the one I'd most likely play live as it's never too repetitive in one spot (cough cough original).
Perfect (Roger Sanchez Club Mix) - Depeche Mode
Roger Sanchez is a legend, here's why.
Walk On By (Club Mix) - Picco
For those readers that love Electro House, this one's for you. It's got one of those harmony basslines, goes up like a major third. Strange tribal/prog buildup, sounds like the Lion King.
Tricky Tricky (Beyond Deep Remix) - Royksopp
Another great Progressive track. I wouldn't play this live, more just a listening track.
Rapture (Bestrack Remix) - DatA
Knowing the original, this remix RULES. Really makes it so much better.
Trust In You Original Mix) - Passenger 10
Pretty standard Prog track. If Prog is your thing, grab this.
And a special shout out to:
Hot (Extended Version) - Kamei
Radio Station - Kamei
This 15 year old makes incredibly awesome Disco House. HUGE props. Everyone should check out Kamei.
BONUS:
Heavy Cross (Siriusmo Dub) - Gossip (GOLDEN BANANA)

Electro Batch #3
Electro. W00t! And all tracks be 320. Also, the kid in above picture has hair just like J, and I'm pretty sure J has done something like that before.
-M
The Numbers Song (Turbotito Remix) - Acid Girls (Golden Banana)
This shit rules, it's super ravey, weird Electro that would just get everyone dancing in like a really primal way.
Best Party Ever (Jordan Lightyear & Jimmy 2 Sox Remix) - Toecutter
A very well done remix of a remix of a classic. This maybe should be under House batch, but I feel like it would fit in better with an Electro set.
DIG IT (Original) - Noise Lab
It samples The Warriors. And it's a banger. I'm sold.
Love Like A Sunset (Shuttle Remix) - Phoenix
Shuttle being a member of Passion Pit, this track has Indie fucking engraved on it. However, it's actually a very well made Electro track. A bit fast for sets though.
Exterior (Broke One Remix) - The Nerd Follia
Pretty track and also danceable.
My Adidas (Pilotpriest Remix) - Run DMC
Great Electro remix of Old School Hip-hop. It's got really hard hitting synths/drums.
Mama Used To Say - Jupiter
Really synth poppy Electro. Pretty voice.
Running Out (Fenech-Soler Remix) - Mimó
Really down with the drop in this track, not a banger but just cool.
I Can Talk (French Horn Rebellion Remix) - Two Door Cinema Club
More synth pop stuff. Got Kitsune written all over it.
Happy Thoughts - Odahl
Super happy track (no shit Sherlock) with great vocal chopping.
Electro Batch #3 Zipped
BONUS:
Louboutins (Jeremy Word Remix) - J Lo
Got another track dropped in my inbox from Jeremy Word. You can grab his other track that we posted HERE. This one's an Electro House banger.

Breakbeat Batch #2
Time for a bunch of batches, basically gonna pick up where I left off from the last time. This batch is all about Breakbeat (which I unfortunately have very little of). These are tracks that I've collected somewhat recently by artists that I do not know or just wouldn't remember otherwise, so you won't be seeing many big names. But I guarantee that all of these tracks are fucking fire.
On an additional note, I'd like to give a shout out to some blogs that contributed greatly to these batches. So, big shout to ONEUPMANSHIP, Shifty Rhythms, and Zaber Riders (we've shouted at them plenty). You'll keep seeing their blog pictures attached the specific tracks they gave me as you check out the tracks in the upcoming batches.
-M
What's That Noize!? (Ft Beardyman) (Original Mix) - Ctrl Z Vs Screwface & Stereo:Type
Ha, this is awesome. Great beat with humor, hits really hard with a dirty ass Electro bass.
Go Away (Original Mix) - The Decepticonz
This track is pretty fast, so it would be good for people looking to spin faster sets or for a track to bridge Electro into Dubstep.
Mama Said Knock You Out (Z-Trip Remix) - LL Cool J
The complete other side of Breakbeat, this is Hip-hop tempo. Z-Trip rules, I don't give him enough credit.
Pop - *NSYNC (Golden Banana)
Yup. It's at 120 bpm, and it will kill in your set.

Opening for Anamanaguchi and Starscream
So Anamanaguchi and Starscream came last night to play a show at Oberlin and fucking killed it. I was really honored to get to open for them and really had a great time. Turned out to be more people there then I expected and Anamanaguchi seemed to have really liked my set. Hopefully I'll get to chill with them in New York when I'm there in January. And brunch with them afterward was really fun. Some really cool guys, definitely don't miss any of their shows.
-J
Anamanaguchi are an 8-bit band from New York city composed of Peter Berkman - Guitar/NES, James DeVito - Bass, Luke Silas - Drums, Ary Warnaar - Guitar/GameBoy, all going to New York University if I'm not mistaken (at least some of them definitely do). They basically combine traditional rock band instruments with I guess what you could call a hacked NES and Gameboy (though from what I was told the gameboy just has a cartridge that does it). So it's got those great 8 bit sounds.
Their show was fucking crazy, people were going nuts. I mean if you just go their myspace and listen to their music you'll understand. Just really up beat stuff, really fun, and the band definitely embodies that light hearted feeling. I was dancing like crazy the whole time.
Helix Nebula - Anamanaguchi, their most famous song, or at least the most played on Myspace. They are supposed to be releasing a new album in the near future and are going on a summer tour, so look out for shows near you.
Get their Album here for free.
Anamanaguchi on Myspace
Anamanaguchi Blog (I stole the top picture from their blog)
Before Anamanaguchi was Starscream another New York based 8 bit band. Unlike Anamanaguchi, Starscream only has a gameboy and a drummer. In some ways this makes their music so much more raw. The band consists of Damon Hardjowirogo and George Stroud, both really cool guys ( I got to really get to know them at brunch when I saw with them).
Their live show was just fucking crazy (though a bit short). I stood on the side next to Pete from Anamanguchi and just marveled at them. Damon has such an amazing stage prescence and he just gets so into it. I just turned to Pete and was like (remember everybody I was sober) they're incredible. He smiled and was like "yeah" and proceeded to tell me the whole story of how they met and started making this music.
These guys are gonna blow up soon, so watch out.

Excision & Datsik
Got a hankerin for some super nasty, filthy, and grimy ass Dubstep? Look no further, because Excision & Datsik make just that. I have not the slightest clue how they manage to create such evil sounds. These dudes are both from Canada and love to collaborate, but this post will feature all of the tracks that I have from their solo work as well (and other collaborations). God I wish I could get away with playing this shit.
-M
A Millie (Remix) - Excision & Datsik
Just slap a Lil Wayne acapella on it and BAM, immediately more accessible. Still one filthy ass Dubstep track.
Swagga (Original Mix) - Excision & Datsik
Once again, cannot stress how incredibly awesome these sounds are.
Obvious - Excision
This one's got character, and by that I mean it's weird as hell. Jumpman will be all over this one.
Boom - Excision & Datsik

Solo Cups!
Neither an inconspicuous red cup or the bad ass owner of the fastest ship in the galaxy, Solo is a Tribal/Tech DJ form the UK who's really won me over with his awesome beats. It's Minimal, it's Funky, and it's really fun, unlike the super dark Minimal Techno that we usually post.
-M
*ALL LINKS REMOVED
Midgets In Bricklane - Solo
Psychedelic (in the George Harrison picking up a sitar sense) with a tribal beat, and a one of those tiny little high synth hooks.
How You Like Me Now? (Solo Remix) - The Heavy
This one's very unlike his other tracks, but I really like it. I guess because it's a remix of rock, so it leaks into the track a lot.
Con Alegria (Solo More Cowbell Remix) - DJ Gregory & Gregor Salto
Great, really great. Awesome Tribal/Tech track.
I Dream Of Crystal (Solo Remix) - Maps
This one's got his signature while also being a really beautiful track.

Fuckin Champs
Hey Champ has impressed me immensely this year, pumping out stellar remix after remix. I just did a bit of digging and doubled my collection of theirs this morning for the post. They're from Chicago, so anyone in that area should go try to see them live. Until then, I'll wait for some luck, and hopefully I'll get a chance too. Their sound is a combination of Electro, Pop, and House, aka they've got some Fred Falke-y sounding tunes as well as some bangers. Enjoy:
-M
What You Need (Hey Champ Remix) - Priors (GOLDEN BANANA)
WOW. Fucking Beautiful. One of the best remixes of 2009 for sure. Great French House sound to this one, god I love it. We haven't talked about Priors on here before, but it's the combo of Raw Man (from The Buffalo Bunch) and Yann Destal (from Modjo), so yeah.
Sunrise (Hey Champ Remix) - Yeasayer
I'm really partial to Yeasayer at the moment, so this one had to make it up here, not that it doesn't deserve to be, this remix is really awesome.
Early Sensation - Hey Champ
Filter House, live it, love it.
Beaches and Friends (Hey Champ Remix) - French Horn Rebellion
Very Synth Poppy, The Twelves remixed the same song and that should give you a hint as to what it's like.

Cirez D
I love Eric Prydz. He's incredible. The man can just do it all. He's made old French style House, Trance/Prog, Tech, he just kills everything he tries. This post will be dedicated to his productions under the alias Cirez D, which he uses for his Minimal Techno tracks. Although there's still a trace of his Progressive style, these tracks are Tech bombs and will destroy your rave crowds.
*Also note the new poll on the right
-M
On Off (Original Mix) - Cirez D (Silver Banana)
Called the top track of 2009 by Eddie Halliwell. Although this might be a little underwhelming in your headphones, I assure you this blows up on a soundsystem.
Stockholm Marathon (Original Mix) - Cirez D
Man, Techno is just the shit. In some ways its just far more trancey than Trance, and it makes you feel like a bad ass at the same time. Techno is Trance for bad asses.
Fast Forward (Original Mix) - Cirez D
More awesome Techno.
BONUS:
Pictures On Off (Funkagenda Bootleg) - Sneaky Sound System vs. Cirez D (GOLDEN BANANA)
This bootleg is the shit. It takes the already incredible track and puts the perfect acapella over. Immediately more accessible to everyone. Major props to Funkagenda.
