THIS GUY

-M

Rolling In The Deep (Tom Buster & Kidzoy Remix) - Adele (Golden Banana)
Adele has a great voice.  This House track almost feels like something Moby could have made with the heavy reliance on the vocal sample.  This is Diva House.

Big Bass Drum (Original Mix) - Tai (Silver Banana)
Electro House track that's on loop.  Flawless production.

Get Ur Freak On (Alvaro & Punish Moombahton Remix) - Missy Elliott
Brilliant idea.  Moombahton really just comes down to figuring out what track will work well at 108.  This one certainly does.

Circadian Rhythm (Original Mix) - Adam K & Soha
My favorite Progressive House producers do John Dahlback, and it's awesome.  The line is amazing.

Pump Up The Jam (Da Fresh Goes To Miami Boot) - Technotronic
We definitely need more remixes of this track.  This one's heavy Electro Bass but overall Progressive feel makes it ELECTROGRESSIVE.

In The Sunshine (Don Palm & Johan Wedel Remix) - Disfunction feat. Max C
Progressive, high explosive energy.

Don't Fear To Rock (Beltek Remix) - Lutzenkirchen
Driving Techno, sounds a lot like Umek (they did used to collaborate a lot).

Bus (Original Mix) - BeatauCue
Fun House, brilliantly chopped vocals/samples.

Heartbeat (Darwin & Backwall Remix) - Dabruck, Klein Feat Stella Attar
Progressive House on the Tech side.

It's Over Now (Pete Tha Zouk Remix) - Lee Kalt, Mark Alston, Harry Romero
Extremely Big Room Progressive, the sort of stuff meant for stadiums.

Gunther

So I closed out the Risky Fresh Eurotrash party last night.  It was unbelievable.  I'm also going to be headlining at FLUX | A MASS EDMC EVENT next Friday, so if you're in the Massachusetts area you should come out.  The promoters interviewed me, so if you're interested you can check that out HERE.  My head hurts a lot after that blue Four Loko I crushed last night, so track descriptions will probably be lacking, but here's your Sunday dose.

-M

The Island - Pendulum (GOLDEN BANANA)
I dropped this last night.  9 mins track.  Cheesy first half, NUTS second half.  This track is really incredible, and was so perfect for Eurotrash.

Lesbian Bondage Fiasco (Original Mix) - Aniki (Silver Banana)
AMAZING chopped Disco House.  He definitely tried to pull a Barbara Streisand though.

Bit This Thin (Tony Senghore Remix) - Djedjotronic
Electro Techno.  I love it.

Bit This Thin (Original Mix) - Djedjotronic
And the original.  Techno.

Sanity (Adam K & Soha Vocal Club Mix) - Adam K & Soha Ft. Hannah
Progressive Dutch House?

KMA - Autoerotique & SonicC
Dutch House.

Here He Goes (Original Mix) - Dusty Kid & Grooviera
Tech House.

Feel The Love (Sunloverz Remix) - Aboutblank & KLC
House, classic feel.  I wouldn't play it, but I can see that someone definitely would.

Longshoreman

I'd trust him with my package.

-M

I'm Not Over (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Carolina Liar (Golden Banana)
Progressive House with an Electro bass.  As always, top notch production.

Diamond Life (Daddy's Groove Magic Island Rework) - Louie Vega, Jay 'Sinister' Sealee, Julie McKnight (Silver Banana)
Another one of my favorite Progressive House producers.  They kill it every time.

Love Won't Wait (Original Vocal Mix) - Ian Carey Project
Pop appeal to the max.  Commercial Electro House.

Runaway (Original Mix) - Mason
Sounds a lot like I Think I Like It by Fake Blood.  Disco House-y.

I Want You (Bar9 Remix) - Paul Harris Vs. Eurythmics
Fuck Yeah Dubstep!

Rubb It In (Bart B More Fierce Ruling Remix) - Fierce Ruling Diva
Some old school vibes in this House track.

Fires of Hell (feat. Bloody Dan) - Nostalgia
Interesting name for a Dubstep producer, you'd think he would make Chill Wave or some shit.  But he does the evil sound very well.  This song also speeds up to DnB at the end, added bonus for sure.

Let's Get Ferretic (Original Mix) - Mason
Electro House, bouncey.

Film Majors

You know who you are.  Don't pretend like you're making any contributions at all and good luck trying to say anything that hasn't already been said a million times already.

Now House music, that's an original medium.  Especially Progressive House, totally not the same bitch with a thousand faces.  Here are some Prog House tunes that sound like nothing you've never heard before.  Promise.

-M

To start, let's do this incredible EP:

In The Red Light (Original Mix) - CJ Stone And Chriss Ortega Feat Lyck (Golden Banana)
Wow.  Unbelievable.  The drop is just incredible, what a fucking sound they made.  Also the vocal chopping, simple but perfect.

In The Red Light (Stone And Ortega Club Mix) - CJ Stone And Chriss Ortega Feat Lyck
Techy remix while keeping the super cheesy Prog buildup.

In The Red Light (Red Light Mix) - CJ Stone And Chriss Ortega Feat Lyck
More traditional Prog sound, very much like an EDX song.

Now for some more totally unique and original Prog songs:

Major Tom (Coming Home) (Adam K & Soha Club Edit) - Shiny Toy Guns (GOLDEN BANANA)
This has become one of my absolutely favorite remixes from this already very established team.  On loop for weeks.  Oddly fast tempo, does that make this Trance...?  Regardless, it's hard to get more beautiful than this track.

My Belief (Jean Elan Remix) - Syke N Sugarstarr & DBN Feat Cosmo Klein
Really sick bass and drums on this one, sort of Able Ramos like but more interesting.  Hate the vocals though, but what can you do.  I just thank God that this is the only Prog song with terrible vocals.

Sometimes (Johan Wedel Remix) - Dim Chris, Amanda Wilson
I just hear this one exploding on a massive sound system, this bass is meant to be felt just as much as it's meant to be heard.  In other words, MASSIVE TUNE.

Shine A Light (David Tort Remix) - Kurd Maverick
More on the Techy side, a lot like Swedish Tech Prog.  The most Proggy track from David Tort I've heard actually.  And the chords, so original!  Never heard these changes before, it's incredible.

Some People Will Never Learn (Original Mix) - Dinka
A track from the hero of Swehouse.  This is one of those Prog tracks that takes me to my mental beach place.  I'm surfing, gliding my fingertips along the face of the wave.  A bombshell in a red bikini smiles at me as a gentle breeze rustles her golden hair.  She climbs onto my board and we ride tandem into the eternal sunset.  There are hi fives and thumbs ups all around.  It's pretty fuckin sick, you should totally check it out sometime.

Pregame!

I like to party.  I like to dance.  And I love to get down to some good tunes.  There is no better way to do all this, however, than with the bros.  I mean, look at these guys.  Each one brings something to the group, as they make especially clear in this picture.  The one on the left brings the humor, then the next one's reppin' (lamest bro, but someone's gotta be it, right?), 3rd bro brings the party, last dude is the rock, like the guy who's super chill but could totally kick your ass at any minute and can drink your ass under the table so hard you'll be fisting a toilet with your face while he's layin down game on your girl.  So here are some great Progressive jams that are guaranteed to get your bros going.  That 30 rack of Keystone Ice won't shotgun itself.

-M

Some Chords (Original Mix) - Deadmau5
Massive tune.  Also, this is Electro House and the only one in this post, but this needed to be posted.

Sometimes (Daddy's Groove Rework)  - Dim Chris feat. Amanda Wilson (Golden Banana)
I seriously think that these guys should be ruling the Progressive scene.  They have a somewhat Swedish sort of sound, but it's just more innovative.

Hoover (Adam K Remix) - EDX
This shit hits so hard, it's like playing slap shots.

Salvation (Jerome Isma-Ae & Daniel Portman Remix) - Chris Reece
Great rave tune, super pretty and hits incredibly hard as well.  While the chord changes might be a bit too familiar, it works.

Fantasy (EDX Remix) - Nadia Ali
Wow.  J is gonna be ALL up in this one.  He sent me a cute bromantic text last night.

Fantasy (Starkillers Remix) - Nadia Ali
Not as good as the above mix, but still quite good.  Is this Progressive House, or is it Trance?

Nyce (Original Mix) - Moguai
Some great shit coming from Mau5trap.

Nothing Is Wrong (Original Mix) - Adam K & Soha
And why not end it with a classic winning combo.  They really do make the best chords.

Also, have you guys SEEN the lineup for EDC this year?  It's just way too good.  Great place to roll deep with your bros and do some serious fist pumping.

Special K for Breakfast

No, not the drug (kids you be sure stay away from that stuff), but Adam K, one of the best House producers out there. This dude kills everything he tries, which for the most part is Progressive stuff, but he's got some great Electro and Techno tracks. In all honesty, he's probably the most reliable producer out there for Prog tracks along with, say, Deadmau5 or Kaskade. Lots of his productions are with some dude named Soha, but I feel like he's the driving force behind it since he's also go solo work. This dude is a Golden Banana.

-M

Underlying Feeling (Adam K & Soha Club Mix) - Sylvia Tosun
Brilliant. Just brilliant. One of my favorite Prog tracks, such a beautiful voice and chords.

The Mask (Original Mix) - Adam K, Gabe
Sick ass Techno track, it's got one of the coolest little breaks ever.

Nice Boys (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Aaron Studt
Great Electro House track, fans of older Wolfgang Gartner will like this one a lot. Don't be fooled by the Prog build.

The Good, The Bad & The Funky (Original Mix) - JELO & Adam K
Much dirtier Electro, all about this bass.

We Hold On (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Kaz James
Another great Prog track, with male vocals oddly enough, but it definitely works.

Adam K Collection
By Track // Zipped

BONUS:
Need To Feel Loved (Adam K & Soha Vocal Mix) - Refleckt feat. Delline Bass (Platinum Banana)
I just had to. This is seriously the best Progressive track ever. Couldn't post this enough.

Progressive Post!

On the plane ride home for summer, I was DJing on my laptop while my friend listened through a splitter. As I noticed he was falling asleep, so I figured I'd lay off the electro bangers and switch to some more progressive (I wish I had another word for this genre, I really do. What the hell does Progressive mean in terms of music anyways? They should call it Trancey House or something, because thats all it is) stuff to keep from torturing the poor guy. This reminded me how awesome some of these tracks really are. They really could only be played live at a massive rave, but that doesn't keep them from being some of the most beautiful dance tracks out there. I don't care if anybody thinks that these are 'commercial' or 'gay' because a good tracks deserve credit. Here are some progressive tracks old and new.

-M

The Longest Road (Deadmau5 Remix) - Morgan Page
Deadmau5 got nominated for a 2008 grammy for this one, but didn't win. In fact, Justice won with their remix of Electric Feel by MGMT. Oh, where have they gone...

Need To Feel Love (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Refleckt feat. Delline Bass

Still keep coming back to this one. So incredibly beautiful. Adam K & Soha are masters of Progressive.

Majuro (Original Mix) - Sébastien Léger
Oh god this song is amazing. Definitely my favorite Léger track for sure. He's a guy that has a ton of versatility when it comes to genre.

Raining Again (Steve Angello's Vocal Mix) - Moby

YES! This song will be stuck in your head for the rest of your life, and you'll love it. Perfect way to end a set. Hooray for Steve Angello.

Dreamer (Deniz Koyu & Micha Moor Remix) - Niels Van Gogh
So amazing. I need to look into Micha Moor, because this track is just amazing.

Dreams - Deep Dish & Axwell
This is a remix/cover of Fleetwood Mac that they actaully got Stevie Nicks to sing the vocals on (aka its not sampled). They say that Deep Dish invented Progressive House, who would have guessed that one of the members would become Dubfire and start making the most awesome minimal house/techno tracks around. This track was originally by Deep Dish, but I guess they decided to redo it with Axwell's help, and good thing too.

I Remember - Deadmau5
One of the highlights of Random Album Title, her voice just entrances you.

Adam K & Soha

I apologize for posting so frequently, I know I'm putting up an overwhelming amount of tracks but it simply is because my downloads folder happens to be flooded with incredible stuff right now.

Adam K & Soha are a progressive house duo from Canadialand with a pretty similar sound to Deadmua5 but more on the progressive side (think I Remember and Faxing Berlin). Although they do have some pretty hard hitting bangers, they mostly shine through making some on the most beautiful sounding synths in the game. Not necessarily appropriate for dance parties. Props to Swehouse for most of the tracks.

Need To Feel Loved (Adam K & Soha Vocal Mix) - Refleckt feat. Delline Bass
Definitely now in the running for most beautiful house song. The vocals just grab me every time. Don't miss this one.

Twilight - Adam K & Soha

Apparently their most popular song according to Last.fm. There's a Deadmau5 remix, but the only one I found was just the original mislabeled.

Come Fly Away (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Benny Benassi feat. Channing
I know you all love the original of this, even if you haven't heard it yet. Great job turning this into a progressive track.

Cobrastyle (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Robyn
This is the only song I've got of theirs that doesn't contain any element of progressive. This sucker is pure rave.

Nice Boys (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Aaron Studt

This one is a good healthy mix of progressive and electro and is definitely the most party ready song on this list.

Who Cares? Really... (Original Mix) - Adam K & Soha
Pure progressive house.

We Hold On (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Kaz James
Progressive but with male vocals. Female vocals just seem to usually work better in my opion for these kinds of tracks.

4 AM (Adam K & Soha Radio Edit) [Bonus Track] - Kaskade

A remix of Kaskade = double the progressive.

Bruised Water (Adam K & Soha Club Mix) - Chicane Feat Natasha Bedingfield

More prog, not particularly special.

BONUS:
Reach Out (George Duke Remix) - Vangaurd
Awesome new take on disco house, would be popular live.
