Krieger

Every single noun and verb in that sentence totally arouses me.

-M

Antigalactic (Mumbai Science Remix) - MixHell (Golden Banana)
Let's go Techno!

For Your Love 2011 (Stefano Noferini Remix) - Chocolate Puma ft Colonel Red (Silver Banana)
Dancey ass House mix of a classic Yardbirds track.  I fucking love this.  Disco side of things.

El Cuco - Nerd Rage & Sluggo
Moombahton, or I guess they call this stuff Moombahcore.  Heavy beats at 108, get your Latin on.

Zzafrika (Marseille Remix) - ZZT
Electro Techno.  Gotta love it.

Storm (Electrixx Remix)  - Vincent Vega
Just straight Techno from these guys, totally new direction for them.  It's pretty awesome.

Shottas (Alvaro Remix) - Munchi feat. Mr. Lexx
Major Lazer, is that you?

Nobody's Perfect (Netsky Remix) - Jessie J
Melodic Drum & Bass, do they call it Progressive?

Life's A Bitch (Original Mix) - Olav Basoski
Dutch Tech House from one of my current favorites.

Lootin' 92 (Original Mix) - 12th Planet & SPL
DUUUUUUUUUBBBBSSTTTEEEEEEEEEEEP

Sweat (David Guetta & Afrojack Dub Mix) - Snoop Dogg
Pop/Progressive/Electro/Dutch/Club.  There's even some traces of Acid in there.

Moombahton has arrived

Hey, y'all. No excuses, I haven't been around. I'm sorry :(

Moombahton is pretty fantastic. The genre was created essentially by accident during a high school senior ditch party, a cousin of Dave Nada's asked if he could DJ for their class and he obliged. What Nada didn't know was that these were not the standard house-heads he was used to playing for, oh no, these were DC kids who loved reggaeton. They complained that the music he was playing was just too fast so Nada had to think on his feet. He threw down the pitch fader as low as it went and Moombahton was born. It's essentially slowed down Dutch-house with Cumbia and reggaeton inspired drums added. Original Moombahton tracks fit essentially the same mode but sound...well, more natural than the straight up edits that birthed the genre. Let me show you what I mean.

All of these tracks are Golden Bananas and that's not out of laziness.

-Danl

Here's a great example of a straight up edit by the creator or the genre. Nothing is removed from the "original" but drums and accents are added. Also just a totally slammin' track.

This is one of those originals that I was talking about. This is also the track that converted me to Moombahton as I was initially a hater. Super Dutchy and slammin', just give it a listen.

Munchi may be the God of new music genres. Apparently he's already done with Moombahton, as indicated by his previously mentioned Rotterdam Juke EP. Also-Slammin'.

Ho got somethin' vibratin' in the coochie. Drop. (Possibly the most golden of these tracks)

I take that back, THIS may be the most Golden.

Even Diplo's gettin' in on the fun! This is another original track that deserves your attention.

Neki is another European beast of the Moombahton genre. Apparently he's Italian and knows a thing or two about hard, grinding sex music.

If you've heard the remix and have listened to the previous seven tracks you can probably tell where this is going. It succeeds.

The name of this DJ ("Party Sex") is absolutely accurate. This song may be down far but it is the FUCKING JAM. Must have.

Lastly but not leastly is a song that is NOT Moombahton, but Moombahsoul. This is grooving, sweet, passionate, loving music. This song will make babies without even trying. This song is the Most Interesting Man in the World of Moombahsoul. Enjoy, thoroughly.

Rolling In The Deep (Tom Buster & Kidzoy Remix) - Adele (Golden Banana)
Adele has a great voice.  This House track almost feels like something Moby could have made with the heavy reliance on the vocal sample.  This is Diva House.

Big Bass Drum (Original Mix) - Tai (Silver Banana)
Electro House track that's on loop.  Flawless production.

Get Ur Freak On (Alvaro & Punish Moombahton Remix) - Missy Elliott
Brilliant idea.  Moombahton really just comes down to figuring out what track will work well at 108.  This one certainly does.

Circadian Rhythm (Original Mix) - Adam K & Soha
My favorite Progressive House producers do John Dahlback, and it's awesome.  The line is amazing.

Pump Up The Jam (Da Fresh Goes To Miami Boot) - Technotronic
We definitely need more remixes of this track.  This one's heavy Electro Bass but overall Progressive feel makes it ELECTROGRESSIVE.

In The Sunshine (Don Palm & Johan Wedel Remix) - Disfunction feat. Max C
Progressive, high explosive energy.

Don't Fear To Rock (Beltek Remix) - Lutzenkirchen
Driving Techno, sounds a lot like Umek (they did used to collaborate a lot).

Bus (Original Mix) - BeatauCue
Fun House, brilliantly chopped vocals/samples.

Heartbeat (Darwin & Backwall Remix) - Dabruck, Klein Feat Stella Attar
Progressive House on the Tech side.

It's Over Now (Pete Tha Zouk Remix) - Lee Kalt, Mark Alston, Harry Romero
Extremely Big Room Progressive, the sort of stuff meant for stadiums.

House Batch #2

More awesome House jams for y'all to vibe with:

-M

One 2.3 Four (Auditiv Remix) - Martin Solveig
Wow. This track just blows me away. Big Deadmau5 influence in the verse, you'll hear it. Electro House BOMB with Progressive elements.

Gypsy Woman (Sandro Monte 2009 Bootleg) - Mike Polo
HUGE Track, will get everyone jumping on the drop. Very Techy. And I'm pretty sure everyone will recognize the track.

Like It - Poka
Filter Disco House. What a great sample, really great jam.

Break Up To Make Up (Alvaro Remix) - Jeremih

Progressive remix of Pop Hip-hop. Sounds strange, but this would kill at a rave for sure.

The Milky Way (Original Mix) - Inpetto
Great Prog/Tech track. Really awesome. I'm really digging these types of tracks right now.

Right In The Night (Angger Dimas Remix) - Sgt Slick
Tech House, definitely reminds me somewhat of David Tort. If you're unfamiliar with him, check our post HERE.

Still Wild (Gooseflesh Remix) - Gooseflesh
Starts out with heavy Electro, then just drops into such a funky House groove, kinda along the lines of Fake Blood's new EP.

Summer Madness - Starks & Nacey

Really original take on a classic track. Got elements of Disco/Deep/Bmore.

Pianobytes - The Requesters
Very classic house sounding, complete with piano stabs and a repetitive vocal loop. Very nice.

Unleashed (Original Mix) - Prok & Fitch

Interesting track, mix between Electro and Tech.

Minimal Batch #1

This does not limit itself to one genre, really, it's just songs that I'd be more inclined to play in a more Minimal/Rave set. Enjoy:

The Queen of The Night (Edu K Remix) - Superpose

Probably surprised to see Edu K on this list, but just listen and you'll understand. The first drop is absolutely killer.

Scaler - Kris Menace
Once again, probably surprised to see Kris Menace here as well, but the first drop is one of the most insane drops I've ever heard. Ever.

Stickin' - SonicC
Already posted this lovely track, young kid from Florida making Dutch House.

Dirty Freakz (Original Mix) - Kid Kaio & Rowel Sinester
Sounds a lot like Afrojack, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Woko Woko (Original Mix) - Joeysuki & Apster
Progressive Bomb on the Tech side.

Make It Funky (Original Mix) - Alvaro
More Dutch House sounds. Gotta love it.

Yes (Matteo Dimarr Remix) - Jay Lumen & Cosmophunk
Mmm, Techno.

Busted (Pete-R Remix) - Muzzaik
J's posted this before, it's really good.

Johnny The Fox (Barnes & Heatcliff Remix) - Dakota
Really massive track, lots of sidechaining. Probably the least minimal of the list, but I still think it fits.

Boom Da (Downtown Remix) - Mixhell

Really interesting track. I don't think I'd ever play this live, but I do enjoy it. Not nearly as good as the Edu K Remix anyways, which you can grab HERE.

Boost Your Mood (DJ Wool Remix) - iPunk
This feels like the type of song that would be playing during a Rave scene in a movie, or in some action sequence. Feels sort of 90's to me.
