Woodhouse

Sir, that stolen lemur bit one of your prostitutes right in the face and she says she can't go to hospital because she's quote, tripping balls.

-M

Save The World (Alesso Remix) - Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin (GOLDEN BANANA)
Alesso kills it again.  Ravey intro somewhat reminiscent of Soulwax that eventually drops into a massive epic Prog track.

Rock The Cashbah - Truelove (Golden Banana)
Huge Beatport success for this one.  Big crowd pleaser and fun House groove.

Guilt - Nero (Silver Banana)
Another huge, epic Dubstep track from the Brits that never stop.

Wordlwide (Adrian Lux & Blende Remix) - Roger Sanchez feat. Mobin Master & MC Flipside (Silver Banana)
Wow, this track is awesome.  Electro House that starts with a driving, almost Nu Disco influenced bass, but the second drop, Jesus.

Where You Should Be feat. Sam Frank (Jack Beats Remix) - Skream
Not their best track, but they also don't really make bad tracks.

So Much Love (Crazibiza Remix) - Pink Fluid
House music with diva vocals.

Lift Up Dat (Angger Dimas Remix) - So Shifty
Didn't realize people still made Dutch House anymore, and isn't it just called Moombahton anyways?

Hmmm Well (Original Mix) - Jay Lumen, Popof
Tech House

That Your Girl (Skeet Skeet Remix) - Mattie Safer Ft. Ninjasonik
Funky?  Not sure what you'd call this, but it kills.

Technology - Destructo
Gary Richards (pronounced Gaaaaaaarrryyy, think Jewish mother accent) is finally trying to join the producing game.  Electro House with Techy elements.

Obscure Video Game Character #8

And it's back.  Name this evil ass sucker and you'll receive +500 Bastille Love and Admiration Points.  I'll award 150 points if you can only name the game.  Lessgo.

-M

Get On The Move (Original Mix) - Bingo Players (Golden Banana)
Hell yes.  And I quote my friend (he's not the biggest fan of Tech House)
"I didn't know a calm banger was possible"

Fountain Of Youth (Louis La Roche 'In The Discoteque' Remix) - Boy Crisis
Everyone's favorite French House revival producer is back.

Shake Shake (Original Mix) - S.co
It's kinda like Big Room Disco/Electro/Prog House.  What up Los Angeles.  This dude runs a sick blog worth checking out called 310Electro.

Transformers (Ooga Booga Remix) - Futurecop!
Starts Synth Poppy, then drops super hard with heavy Electro.  Great way to pick up energy in a set.

Generate Some Heat (Original Mix) - Foamo
Glad to see his back.  Some Fidget/Disco greatness.

Face Pump (Blende Remix) - JFK, St. Mandrew
Electro for you kids out there.

Close To The Stars (Jerome Isma-Ae Dub Mix) - Fabio XB feat Yves de Lacroix
Prog House or Trance?  It's pretty up for debate.  All I know is that this dude always puts out top notch production.

Road To Perdition (Original Mix) - Dinka
And some super smooth Progressive House to end.  The kind to sleep to, not to play live.

Electro Batch #5

Electro dancefloor, ya?

-M

Puppies (Blende Remix) - Dolby Anol
Really sick Electro track, crazy sounds and whatnot.

Threnody (Capt and Cooked Edit) - SebastiAn
The most controversial track of 2010, and yes we can most certainly declare that this early, was remixed and definitely improved.

токамак - Nightbreaker
Super heavy Electro. Our buddy in London by the name of Pedro will be super happy about this one.

Hooligans (Noisia Remix) - Don Diablo & Example
Reminiscent of that Mstrkrft sound we all used to love, but a bit heavier.

The Way We Like It (Tommie Sunshine Edit) - Tim Healey vs. Felguk
This is pretty crazy, and yet another incredibly heavy track, the bass is huge.

Bubble Bath - The Swiss
This is basically a straight up Disco track. Jumpman will be all over this. I normally don't really go for all this sort of thing, but this track just really got to me.

Nerve (Analyzer Remix) - Boys Noize
This song's all about the sound they made. They're just showing it off, pretty much. It's a cool sound.

Maps (Elite Force Re-Fix) - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Square waves FTW

White Feather (Bang Gang Black Leather Remix) - Wolfmother
Pretty sick, blahdy blah.

Eyes on Crysteena (CJ Milli Mix) - Mille & Blue Foundation
The most poppy track of the bunch.

Three EPs

This is Hilarious.

Here are three Eps, Koen Groeneveld, Blende, and Nadastrom that I recently got and that I've really been enjoying these last few days. I will also be putting up a second batch in the near future. Koen Groeneveld really really impressed me with these minimal songs. I'm currently in the process of getting more of his stuff to see what it's like. If I like it, I'll be doing a post on him, so definitely check that out. The Nadastrom is also amazing, and funnily enough the Nadastrom EP and the Koen Groeneveld Ep mix really well together. I definitely recommend trying to mix em, you'll see what I mean. But then again, it's more likely that they mix because the Koen Groeneveld is just really simple and easy to mix. And Blende really never dissapoints.

All 320.

-J
Shitty Cover.
Microburst Ep:
Stalled (Original Mix) by Koen Groeneveld, Really great, really minimal, love it. Highly recommended.

Microburst (Original Mix) by Koen Groeneveld, Just as amazing, if not better then Stalled, also Highly Recommended.

I highly recommend the EP, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna put of those songs into my next minimal mix that I make.

Awesome Cover.
The Saved EP:

Ghetto (Original Mix) by Nadastrom, Definitely not my favorite but it has it's moments.

Save Us (Original Mix) by Nadastrom, the catchiest horn line ever. So good. I think I would play this at a party at Oberlin, it's not too ravey, I think I could get away with it.

Squarez (Original Mix) by Nadastrom, much more minimal but so fucking cool. Just amazing.

Boring Cover.
Northern School Ep:

Northern School V1 by Blende, So good electro house at it's best. Blende really is one of the masters at what he does.

Northern School (Acid Jacks "Metalzone" Remix) by Blende, Fucking tight, would be great for one of those more grimey electro sets, could fit in well with like more hardcore BBR and some Sebastian.

All the EPs zipped into one, with Ghetto by Nadastrom (Forgot to add it).

5 out of 5 stars for each of these EPs, I've done nothing but listen to these guys all week. Enjoy.

Duke Dumont

Duke Dumont is a producer from London (once again, props to London for being awesome right now) on Turbo Records.  However, he is not bound by genre, which is immediately clear if you have listened to any two of his songs.  But this newest song I got took me by complete surprise, as it sounds like something our local hero Flying Lotus (he's SO much cooler / more innovative / worthwhile than Dim Mak it kills me) would have made.  It's got fantastically chopped vocals, highly recommended.

HORRIFYING UPDATE
According the Dim Mak's Wikipedia article, Shinichi Osawa is on their roster.  God I hope he only released a remix or something, please don't let Aoki get to him.

P.S.  They took down the Blende post, if you for some reason didn't already grab the tracks, let me know and I'll send the links to you.
