That Time of the Year

So it's that time of the year where we go on a 'survival of the fittest' stage. Lock ourselves in plain black and white room decorated with nothing more than a boring desk, an uncomfortable chair and two piles of horrendous and tedious books/notes... Oh and a mobile just in case you need to ring up that guy that has copied down every single lecture that you probably didn't go to, or to order food.

Here's the Exam survival pack I've put together a comp of tech house, progressive house, chill house, tech and vocal house in all its 320 kbps glory:

Amazzonia (David Tort Remix) - Giorgio Giordano Epic Banana

Push Me (Popof Remix) - Maetrik

Call My Name (Original Mix) - Sultan, Ned Shepard

Control Room (Original Mix) - Fedde Le Grand Epic Banana

Better Day (David Jones Rework) - Alex Martello, Guby Gold Banana

The Mistress (Dan Castro Remix) - Ben Dj & TT Orchestra

Shake it (Terrace Vocal Mix) - Lee Cabrera vs Thomas Gold

Love is Darkness - Sander Van Door feat Carol Lee Gold Banana

On My Own (Burns ESM Remix) - Yasmin (GOLDEN BANANA)
Organ House is the bomb.  This one's got some Dutch flavor in it, but it's House to the core.  Also, SUPERB vocal chopping.

Original Challenge (Original Mix) - Umek & Tomy DeClerque (Silver Banana)
This one's doing pretty well on the Beatport charts.  Techy track with an Italo Disco feel to it.  Planning on dropping this next gig.

Rave O Bitch Up (Tristan Garner Bootleg) - David Tort Vs Prodigy VS Max Vangeli & An21 (Silver Banana)
It's surprising how many big DJs drop bootlegs in their sets.  I'm definitely planning on dropping this one though.

Till The Light Comes - Solila
Some Nu Disco for you classy folk.

Blockhead (Hey Today! Remix) - Punks Jump Up
Electro Techno?  I think I mislabeled this one in my iTunes, but oh well.  Hey Today! have been murdering every remix they do.

On the Loose (Original Mix) - Christian Cambas
Techno rules.  I just hope that the blog world will open up to this style of Minimal Techno now that a lot of the former Electro guys are getting techier.

Call My Name feat. Nadia Ali (Spencer & Hill Remix) - Sultan, Ned Shepard, Nadia Ali
Electrogressive?  Pretty track with an edge.  Top notch as you should expect from these guys.

Sun Splash - Outart
Some more relaxed Techno, much more groovy/tribal.  Definitely perfect for the right setting, but I wouldn't drop this at a college.  Definitely would for a bar or something.

Rude Boy (Union Vocal Version) - Zeds Dead & Omar Linx
Dubstep --> Drum & Bass.  Great for sets that want to transition from those genres.

One More Time (Daft Punk & Stardust Rework) - Arno Cost
Great bootleg, on the proggy side.  Excellent to play some Big Room style and have everyone sing along / cheer.

Warrior's Dance (Far Too Loud Refix) - The Prodigy (Golden Banana)
I love the original so much, now you can play it in an Electro House set.  The second buildup is nuts.

Wash It! - Popof (Silver Banana)
One of the greatest Techno producers right now.  To have a distinct sound in Techno is very difficult, and Popof does.

The Wildcat (Lazy Rich Remix) - Porter Robinson (Silver Banana)
There shouldn't be any need for explanation on this one.

Scorpio - Rankin
Drumstep!

Meiri (Sultan & Ned Shepard Edit) - Thomas Sagstad
What up Progressive House

Windows (Chocolate Puma Remix) - Sil
The "true" Dutch House.  You don't need that annoying high saw wave to have Dutch House, it's all in the drums.

Nights (Nadastrom Remix)  - Pase Rock
But if you NEED that high synth, grab this Techy/Dutch track.

Sudoku (Original Mix) - Saxxo
Cool Tech House from Holland, think like Hardwell or JoeySuki.

Yeah Yeah Yeah (Electro Mix) - Spencer & Hill
This track would be so much better without the shitty vocals.  You can still hear them trying to be like Wolfgang Gartner.

Shadows (Andrea Bertolini & Vanshock Remix) - Miss Motif, Ee-Sma
ANother track that would be better as an instrumental.  Beautiful Progressive House chords.

The best of the bunch, possibly my favorite Prog track as of recent. So amazing. Highly Recommended (I haven't pulled that out in a while, so let that be of note).

Fight For You (Bass Kleph Remix) - Morgan Page
Nice Techy remix from Bass Kleph. Expect a post on this man soon.

Fight For You (Beltek Remix) - Morgan Page
A little Electro touch on this one, though still a Prog track overall. Very nice.

BONUS:
The Longest Road (Deadmau5 Remix) - Morgan Page
