Wax Monsters

I'm extremely proud introduce some more underground shit to y'all.  Wax Monsters are dreamy Synth Pop group from Oberlin College.  Following in the trail of guys like Teengirl Fantasy, they've been starting to pick up steam with the release of their new self-titled EP.  I've been in contact with one of the members for a while, so I've had to opportunity to hear his sound evolve.  And I gotta say, I was blown away with this EP.  You've got the Synth Pop elements, along with some clear influences from more experimental producers like Baths and Daedelus.  So, if you're into music that makes you feel happy and like you're a child again, definitely cop this.

My personal favorite on the EP.  I was sold the first time I heard the sample come in at 26 seconds, but then the track just evolves and builds into this beautiful feeling, similar to the happiness you had as a child content to just be running around in the sun.  The sample use is incredible.

This would be the whole EP.

End Of Line (Boys Noize Remix) - Daft Punk (GOLDEN BANANA)
It's surprisingly underwhelming in your headphones compared to the carnage it causes on a proper system.  This is one of those tracks that gets the crowd jumping.  Unfortunately, really the only keeper from the Tron remix album, which I was super excited to post until I listened to it.  Oh well.

Origines (Original Mix) - Sebastien Leger (Silver Banana)
Tech House on the groovey/housey side from the incredible Frenchman.

Red Air - NiCe7 (Silver Banana)
House music rules.  This one's funky, exactly what House music is meant to be.

Enter Sandman - HervĂ© vs Metallica
YES.  This came out as a shitty 128 a few years ago, but he just released the 320.  Bring the mosh pit.

Aktion (Original Mix) - Zodiac Cartel
Electro House on the crazy, maybe Techy side.

Like A G6 (Roger Sanchez Remix) - Far East Movement
Definitely my favorite remix I've got of this track.  Organ Housey, super sexy.  Would fit into a Dutch/Club set SO well.

I Hate That You Love Me (Chuckie's Marquee Remix) - Diddy-Dirty Money
Speaking of Dutch House.  This actually sounds a lot more like Nari & Milani than Chuckie, in that the lead is just rhythmic and not a Dutch line.

Contact (Trolley Snatcha Remix) - Foreign Beggars & Noisia
MASSIVE Dubstep alert.  This would just destroy, I can see it.

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Gigamesh Remix) - Michael Jackson
Super extended Nu Disco groove remake.  It's super similar to the original, so you won't piss off a bunch of people.  Really just a great DJ tool.

Alright (Tocadiscos Dub Mix) - Tocadisco feat Lennart a. Salomon
Cut the mid range, drop the bass.  Electro House.  The vocal drop rules.

Hard Weekend

I uploaded all the tracks and zip for this post about a week ago, which would explain the name.  However, I started to feel like the puppsters up here, and so I took a blog break.  However, it's time to raise the sails and pirate my ass off for yall.  In theory, other people also post on this blog and should be making up those absences, but I've come to understand that it doesn't actually work like that.

Also, I think it's time for a new post theme.  If anyone has any ideas, post em in the comments please.  But right now, I'm leaning towards great mustaches in the history of men, but I'm definitely open to other ideas.

Dayshift (Oliver's Nightshift Remix) - Juan Atkins (Golden Banana)
An Electro / Nu Disco track that I've been obsessed with.  Super funky and great and awesome and ugh.  Gotta love that talk box.

Last Night (Spencer & Hill Remix) - Ian Carey feat. Snoop Dogg & Bobby Anthony (Silver Banana)
The Germans brought some serious vengeance in this track.  Heavy as balls Electro House.

Bang De Kok (Flammenwerfer Bootleg) - Boris Dlugosch vs. Major Lazer (Silver Banana)
After keeping this little gem to himself for a while, he's letting me post it for you.

Alcoholic (Niklas Gustavsson, Ludvig Holm & Jonas Sellberg Remix) - Tim Berg
HUGE Progressive House track on the Tech side.  AKA the more badass side of Prog House, definitely grab this if you're feeling the Tech right now.

The Face Of The Planet (Ado's Scratch And Snufff Mix) - The Subs
Peeeeoooooow peeeeeooooow peeeeeeoooooooooow!  Electro Techno.

Synapse (Original Mix) - Spektre
Serious Minimal Techno here, reminiscent of Plastikman.

Freak (Extended Mix) - Klein, Gregori Klosman, Dabruck
One of the few keepers from the newish Dabruck & Klein album.  Progressive House, but also on the bad ass / ravey side.

From Stortoget To Big Ben (Marco Bailey Remix) - Joseph Capriati
Techno, yes.

All Night (Original Mix) - Belocca & Soneec
House on the Deep/Tech side, I guess.  More relaxed, good for lounge / warm up situation.

Heart Beating (Original Mix) - Agoria feat. Kid A
NOT dance music, not really sure how to classify this one.  Sounds Swedish, like Bjork or Knife like.  Super beautiful, this should definitely be remixed.  I could TOTALLY see Prog or Dubstep remixes, so producers, GET ON IT.

No Way Out (David Tort Remix) - Spirit Catcher (GOLDEN BANANA)
Definitely one of the greatest Tech House tracks you can get right now.  Difficult to describe, all I can say is that it's incredible.

Roger More (Phonat Re-Edit) - LL Ton J (Silver Banana)
Disco House rules.  I also happen to be on a huge Bond movie kick (literally just finished Thunderballs before this post, how sick is that underwater fight), so the title makes me happy.

Clockworks - Canblaster
Some Funky flavors from France, of all places.  Canblaster doesn't really stick to a genre, he just sticks to consistently killing it.

Original Hardcore (Bass Kleph Remix) - Moguai, Westbam (Silver Banana)
As I've been saying, Bass Kleph is a BEAST right now.  And here's another sick Tech House jam to add to his collection.  Jackin drums.

Take Me Over (Mylo Remix) - Cut Copy
Some Nu Disco / Synth Pop flavors.  Gotta smile sometimes, no?

Miranda (Oliver Huntemann Remix) - Marc Romboy vs. Stephan Bodzin
If you're not into that smiling shit though, you can always cop some intense, brooding Minimal Techno.

Shake it (Original Mix) - Ben Delay & Till West
House that samples old 20s swing.  Baller.

Shuffling and Looking Dumb (Feat. Krystal) - BetaTraxx
Heavy but Fun Electro with some vocals.

Dynamite (Original Mix) - Alesso
Another BIG House track from this guy (he was the Golden Banana of yesterday's post), another Big Room House smasher that is getting played out by the Swedes.

Turn Up The Music (Original Mix) - Audio Jacker
And some more Disco flavors to end with this House track.

P.S.
BARCELONA v ARSENAL TODAY
GET PUMPED

Ugh... fucking Barcelona...

Wherever We Are, Human Life Is There Too

I like to think that Human Life is looking into the future in this picture.  You might remember this epic group from when we interviewed them about a year ago (check that out HERE), but they've got some new exciting stuff that we're proud to promote.  They've just released a brand new EP that you can BUY HERE.  The release is packed full of awesome remixers, including the blogosphere hero Grum.  Anyways, let's get to the awesome tracks:

Wherever We Are - Original Mix by Human Life

Extremely catchy track, I really can't get the voice out of my head. Incredibly smooth, crisp production, you can tell they spent a lot of time on this one.

Wherever We Are - Nightriders Remix by Human Life

A slightly calmer remix that I'm happy to say they're offering as a free download from Soundcloud.

Italo Crimewave - Original Mix by Human Life

And here's the B Side, which they're also offering as a download.

Also, check out this awesome video for the title track. If there's anything I love more than Nu-Disco, it's beautiful Lesbian Romance. And this video's got both, what a treat.
