Framboise

Bonjour!

-M

Meteorites (Danny Byrd Remix) - London Elektricity (Golden Banana)
BEAUTIFUL DnB track, totally obsessed.

Someone Elses (Document One Remix) - Borgore, Adi Ulmansky (Silver Banana)
Epic Dubstep, semi-progish beginning with MASSIVE drop.  I'd love to drop this track.

Goody Two Shoes (Viceroy Edit) - Duck Sauce
Well if I'm good to you, you've got to be good to me.

Blind Cobblers Thumb (Tantrum Desire Remix) - Futurebound
LETS GO DRUM & BASS!  I FUCKING LOVE IT.

I Need Love (Spektre Remix) - Tomcraft
God, I also love Techno.  I love everything!  Someone scratch my head!

Still Getting It (Original Mix) - Foreign Beggars feat. Skrillex
I'm sure you ALL know what to expect from this.

Traction (Club Mix) - Bart B More
Electro House on the Tech side.  Maybe Electro Techno, too lazy to change it now.

Zen (Original Club Mix) - Kim Fai
This wouldn't be an AwB post without some Prog House.  Gotta balance out the filth.

Tonic (Original Mix) - Russ Chimes
Some Electro House on the funky side.

Virgo (Canblaster Dub Remix) - King Cannibal
Funky on the ravey side.  This shit is just primal.

Framboise Zipped

Our boys gLAdiator just made a mix and did an interview with Fade County.  Check it out HERE.

Big Bass Drum (Bart B More Remix) - Tai (Golden Banana)
Electro Techno?  Electro House?

On The Edge (Original Mix) - Umek, Christian Cambas (Silver Banana)
Techno from the best.

The Timbal (Chriss Ortega & Oscar De La Fuente Remix) - DJ Chick
Don't be surprised by the first section, the Electro House drop comes from nowhere and KILLS.

Children (Extended Mix) - Calvin West
Progressive House remake of a classic tune.

Necessary Activity (Original Mix) - Lish, Andrea Bertolini
Tech House on the Techy side.

Hey Yo (Darth & Vader Remix) - DJ Maxsie & Alex Speaker
Crazy ass Electro House from Brazil.

Reach Out (Jesse Voorn Mix) - Adam Reeves, Mari F
Moar Tech House, this one's on the Housey side.

The Truth (Sam La More Remix) - Pnau
Poppy and pretty Electro House,

Lame Brained (Original Mix) - Bingo Players
Most recent track of theirs, but not quite up to their standard unfortunately.

Round And Around (Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney Extended 2011 Remix) - Ti.Pi.Cal. & Josh Colow
Big Room Progressive House with an extremely catchy hook.

Full Stop - Cirez D (GOLDEN BANANA)
I love how Prydz created Cirez D as a joke, but he's since used it to put out some of his best tracks.  Techno on the Progressive side.

Black Ops (Daniel Portman Remix) - Weekend Heroes (Silver Banana)
Portman ALWAYS kills it.  And I love the title of this track, reminds me that a lot of these producers are on the same page as us.  This is extremely epic and driving Progressive House.

Ride (Original Mix) - Frater & Stent
Super catchy sample House.  Sounds like an 80s sample, great horns.

Drop Acid (Figure Remix) - Bart B More and Tommie Sunshine
Jack Beats, is that you?  Can't wait for the original of this to come out as well.

Simple State of Mind (Original Mix) - Charles I (Golden Banana)
Disco House, my ultimate soft spot.

Time To Change (Part 2) - Highbloo
Disco Techno?  Great sample chopping on top of a single note bass with a rising pitch.

My Bad (Club Mix) - The Partysquad Ft. Roxy Cottontail
Electro Dutch House, totally dropping this next set.

La Samba (Original Mix) - DJ Chus & Mikel Curcio
The tempo drops out in the middle to allow for a tribal breakdown of percussion call and response.  Where all my West Af dancers at?  This would totally KILL at a rave.

King Of The Night (Koen Groeneveld Remix) - Flippers vs. DJ Slater Ft. U-Prag
Techno rules

Big Perm (Harvard Bass's Permed Out Remix) - Worthy
And some Tech House to finish up.  I've always had respect for Harvard Bass managing to win over the Electro blog world with his Techy stuff.

Feromonikon - Siriusmo (GOLDEN BANANA)
Few people are this good at making music.

We Can Have It All (Sigma Remix) - Danny Byrd
Pretty while also heavy DnB with that uplifting style of vocal sampling.

Yeah Yeah Yeah (Nari & Milani Remix) - Spencer & Hill
SO RAVEY.  It's kind of Dutchy, but without the tired beeeeeoooohheebebebeohp.  Their hook is much cooler.

Powertool - Emalkay
Heavy while not over maximal Dubstep, just the right amount of treble.

Intro (Bart B More Edit) - Alan Braxe, Fred Falke (Silver Banana)
Great update of one of the BEST dance tracks of all time.  French House FTW.

Fly By Night (Cyberpunkers Remix) - Cerebral Vortex
These guys are kind of like the new Bloody Beetroots.  They just need to branch out a bit, try using some different sounds, but they make a banger for sure.

Move (Original Mix) - Muffler
Heavy, full dubstep.  The kinds that blows speakers.

Gilles (Original Mix) - Bart B More
Dutchy flavors, but unique.

Wobble (Original Mix) - Albin Myers
Progressive bulid, Electro drop.  Take a guess what the bass sounds like.

A Single Moment Of Sincerity (Bare Remix) - Asking Alexandria
Dubstep remix of Heavy Metal.  If you're sick of super heavy Dubstep, not for you.

Obscure Video Game Character #10

Two characters this time, but if you know one of them, pretty solid chance you know both.  They're brothers, after all.  HINT:  They love pizza.  +300 Bastille Love and Admiration Points to the first correct answer in the comments.  This is a particularly Housey post.

-M

Fan Out - Surkin (GOLDEN BANANA)
It's been a while, but this track rules.  Very different for him too.  House, slower tempo, funky as hell.  Also, first time this blog has posted a track by him.  Strange...

You Needed Me (Fred Falke Remix) - The Playin' Stars feat. Romanthony
The vocals are super cheese, sure, but it is House music after all, right?  Anyways, this is that classic Falke sound that we love.

Squeek (Bart B More Remix) - Zombie Nation (Silver Banana)
Some Electro Techno, and massive track.  I can see this being played out by so many DJs on big stages.

Marsch Marsch (Original Club Mix) - Thomas Gold
Great intro track, used this to start off my gig at FLUX two nights ago (shit was crazy, big thanks to the readers that made it out).  Progressive House.  Toolroom Records has been killing it recently.

Show You A Life (Adam K Remix) - A-Luv ft Tamara
Tech House, groooooooooooovy

Brrrat! (His Majesty Andre Remix) - Armand Van Helden / Steve Aoki
Haven't heard from this dude in a while, nice to see that his still makin some banging House.

Don't Hold Back (Out Of Office Remix) - The Potbelleez
Big Room Electro House.  Commercial stuff.  But like, this would DESTROY a Big Room, it's just not for the 'that shit is gay' readers.  You know who you are, and I say fuck the haters.

ALSO

Hypnotize U (Prod. by Daft Punk) - N.E.R.D.
Not sure how I missed this one, probably during the period when I was ignoring all things music and instead producing / playing mad Fifa.  Don't get too excited though, this is not exactly the Daft Punk sound you're yearning for, but they made it.

Longshoreman

I'd trust him with my package.

-M

I'm Not Over (Adam K & Soha Remix) - Carolina Liar (Golden Banana)
Progressive House with an Electro bass.  As always, top notch production.

Diamond Life (Daddy's Groove Magic Island Rework) - Louie Vega, Jay 'Sinister' Sealee, Julie McKnight (Silver Banana)
Another one of my favorite Progressive House producers.  They kill it every time.

Love Won't Wait (Original Vocal Mix) - Ian Carey Project
Pop appeal to the max.  Commercial Electro House.

Runaway (Original Mix) - Mason
Sounds a lot like I Think I Like It by Fake Blood.  Disco House-y.

I Want You (Bar9 Remix) - Paul Harris Vs. Eurythmics
Fuck Yeah Dubstep!

Rubb It In (Bart B More Fierce Ruling Remix) - Fierce Ruling Diva
Some old school vibes in this House track.

Fires of Hell (feat. Bloody Dan) - Nostalgia
Interesting name for a Dubstep producer, you'd think he would make Chill Wave or some shit.  But he does the evil sound very well.  This song also speeds up to DnB at the end, added bonus for sure.

Let's Get Ferretic (Original Mix) - Mason
Electro House, bouncey.

Brap

So we've been pretty absent, and I apologize.  However, we've been busy in the studio and should be releasing some stuff very soon, including a brand new vocal Prog track.  But for my apology, I'll give you a pretty new banger, but you probably have already heard this one.

Brap - Bart B More

P.S. Next post will be an interview

A few Things I never Knew But Should Have

Major Lazer is a fictional cartoon character: a jamaican commando who lost his arm in the secret zombie war of 1984. He fights monsters, parties hard, and has a rocket-powered hoverboard.

According to Wikipedia, Avicii, Afrojack, and Bart B More all gained notoriety through Laidback Luke's online forum... I should be on forums more I guess. Also supposedly, Avicii was taken under Laidback Luke's wing in order to achieve what he has today. Nice.

Louder Than Words - Afrojack and David Guetta, This is the text I got from M: "Get Louder Than Words by Afro and Guetta its seriously the best". To which I asked him to post it, he said eventually. I'm stealing the thunder.

Bangduck (Original Mix) by Afrojack, I can't remember if this came out a while ago or not. In either  case I don't think we've posted it yet. Gotta Love it.

The Deadmau5 videos just show how much he's just such a nerd. A huge nerd, but seems nice. Gotta love his shit, even though some of our friends consider themselves his number 1 haters.

Expect Deadmau5 sample pack to be up here in the next few days.

Chocolate Puma

So, lately I've been focusing on what was happening in House music a decade ago. But I will take a break to discuss today, mainly, about how the Dutch scene is absolutely destroying. With the likes of Laidback Luke, Afrojack, and Fedde Le Grand, the Dutch are unstoppable. The overall arching sound of the area is an awesome blend of minimal, tech, and progressive, making some of the raviest music that also appeals very much to hip-hop fans, oddly enough. This post will focus on the Dutchmasters by the name of Chocolate Puma, who actually discovered Laidback Luke and helped his rise to fame. They have the Dutch sound described above with the addition of some Tribal sounds which are really cool.

-M

Disco Electrique (Vocal Mix) - Chocolate Puma & Bingo Players

Amazing. That bass sound just kills me every time. This would EXPLODE at a rave.

Git Cho House On (Chocolate Puma Remix) - Mike Dunn

Git cho house on, children it's time to groove.

Whohaddrums (Original Mix) - Chocolate Puma

This song may be somewhat boring in your headphones, but the key is to imagine the crowd at the main stage of your favorite rave singing along to the awesome tribal beats.

Also, had to include this INCREDIBLE Funkerman remix in this post, just because:

Sexy Girl (Funkerman Remix) - Chocolate Puma

BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB
Funkerman is Fedde's partner in crime, if you will, similar to how Chocolate Puma does a lot of work with Bingo Players (check our very old post on them HERE).

Chocolate Puma Collection (By Tracks)

Chocolate Puma Collection (All In One ZIP)

BONUS:
Monthra (Bart B More Secured Rework) - Jayvin Mena
Bart B More typically has a more electro sound, but with this amazing prog/tech track, looks like he's trying to move towards his Dutch friends. Get more of his old tracks HERE.

Bart B More

Bart B More
is not from Baltimore, but rather is a prolific electro house / rave house producer from The Netherlands that happens to have gained an impressive amount of popularity in the blog world, even on electro blogs. He has a very distinct style which you'll easily pick up on as soon as you start listening to his tracks. Great for raves. And if you're curious as yo why we've been posting so much, the answer is that its finals week.

-M

Carmina Burana v. I Love U (Bart B More Remix) - Larry Tee

I Love U (Bart B More Secured Dub) - Larry Tee
This mashup is the perfect way to open a rave set. Steve Aoki actually used it to open his Essential Mix, no commentary on the man himself though. I've also inlcuded the original 320 of the Bart B More song used.

Show (Bart B More Remix) - Laidback Luke & Tom Stephan feat. Romanthony (REMOVED)
This song is actually the least like his style, but definitely one of my favorites. Really great chords.

So It Goes (A Day In The Life) (Original Club Mix) - Bart B More
His most recent single, this would go over well for the college crowd because of the rap.

Apple (Bart B More Remix) - Sander Van Doorn
I could definitely see Laidback Luke dropping this track to great effect.

Touch Me (Bart B More Remix) - Bingo Players Vs Chocolate Puma
I think this song really needs massive speakers to be fully appreciated.

The Deep End (Bart B More Remix) - Curses!
This track is a little more friendly to the electro fan. Great buildups.

Fly Or Bounce (Bart B More Rerub) - Destroy Disco

Great buildup as well, also electro friendly.

Anticipation (Bart B More Remix) - David Vendetta Feat Barbara Tucker
Massive rave track.

Today (Bart B More Remix) - Magnesia

This track is actually really progressive. Very unlike him, but really pretty.

Make Some Noise (Original Mix) - Bart B More

More crazy raveness, although I could even see some electro DJs dropping this if they felt like spinning house.

Bump To Dis (Bart B More & Bingo Players Remix) - Ron Carroll

Starts off as quite the cheeseball, but it turns out to be pure rave.

Something Good (Bart B More Remix) - Utah Saints
CRAZY BUILDUP AND DROP. Would destroy a rave crowd and definitely get everyone cheering.

Dream Of The Bomb - Bart B More & Tony Flexx
I really like this song. I wouldn't play it live, but its got a really cool sample and great beat. More classic house sound.
