Prefuse 73 - Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian

Prefuse 73's New Album Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian hit the shelves this past week. Check It Out (link Below), sure to be huge, for those of you who may not know him, Prefuse 73 (Scott Herren) is one of (if not the) pioneer of the sound which experimental hip-hop has adopted these days, he's a talented dj and producer signed to warp records and has been based in his hometown of atlanta georgia, as well as new york, and barcelona. A truly inspirational artist, i dont even know what to say, seriously tripped out beats with absolutely amazing depth, just let the music do the talking, as a bonus Dimlite makes a guest appearance on the album (siiick). Just got a hold of this, thought id pass it on, listening to this one now for the first time, get hyped.

  1. The first thing I thought of when I was listening to Dimlite was that he must be inspired by Prefuse. That's aweomse.

  2. Listening to the album now, I really enjoy the beats but it doesn't live up to One Word Extinguisher for me. I loved how those songs were really complete, whereas this is just a journey as it takes through these awesome ideas but very quickly, kind of like Donuts. Not saying that I have a problem with that or Donuts at all, just that I really enjoyed the completeness of his earlier songs if that makes sense.
